Standard Broadband has started construction on our Fibre To The Home network in the Rural Ward 6 area of Burlington. When completed the network will provide a new level of Internet speed to over 300 homes in the community. Our all-fibre network will provide speeds from 50Mbps to 1000Mbps.  Network construction is ongoing at this time and completion is targeted for late spring 2023.

Where is service be available?


Our initial project area will cover rural north east Burlington from the 407 north to Derry Rd and from Milton West.  Streets on the map below highlighted in blue will be part of the initial 2022 project build.

What is provided with the service?


Included with our service are the following items:

  • Onsite Installation
  • Fibre Modem
  • 300M of fibre optic cable from the property line to the house
  • 30M of indoor fibre optic cable from the point of entry to the modem location.

If your property is located over 300M from the property line an additional fee per meter of cable may apply.

Partnership with the Universal Broadband Fund?


We are excited to partner with the Federal Government’s Universal Broadband fund (UBF). With out programs such as the UBF Rapid Response projects of this nature would be slow to build. The partnership will see a total investment of 2.4 million dollars spent to bring high-speed fibre optic Internet infrastructure into the community. Standard Broadband will invest 1.1 million and the remaining 1.3 million will come from the Universal Broadband Fund.
